Dr. Ranft joined the practice in 1989. A life long resident of the Miami Valley, after graduating from Fairborn Baker High School in 1981, Dr. Ranft graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University, with a bachelor's degree in microbiology. In 1989, he graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry with dual degrees, his Doctor of Optometry and a Master's degree in corneal physiology. Dr. Ranft's research on oxygen permeability of rigid contact lenses was published in the Contact Lens Spectrum, and was presented to the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, and the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists. Dr. Ranft has served as the president of Tipp City Rotary, Tipp-Monroe Optimists and the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce. He is currently president of the Tipp City Area Community Foundations, and a member of the Tipp Foundation Distribution Committee. Dr. Ranft and his wife Noel, live in Tipp City with their children, Lauren, Emily and Spencer. |
